Waste2Wear is a fast-growing, environmentally innovative Canadian company with a focus on sustainable textile products. We produce fabrics and textile products from recycled plastics (rPET & rPP) since 2008. We are seeking a Quality and Compliance Manager to lead our quality and social compliance operation in Shanghai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and training a team of 2-4 inspectors, planning and scheduling inspections and audits, helping develop producers, coordinating activity with 3rd party inspection companies, ensuring that producers meet requirements on social compliance and sustainability, coaching and training of merchandising teams on matters of quality and social compliance and sustainability. The Quality and Compliance Manager will report directly to the global Quality and Compliance Manager who is based overseas.


     ·       Lead the quality operation for production of rPET and rPP yarns, fabrics, garments (lady fashion + sportswear) and bags

·       Manage and train a team of 2-4 inspectors

·       Plan and schedule inspections and audits, and regularly perform inspections and audits

·       Help develop producers and coordinate activity with 3rd party inspection companies

·       Ensure that producers meet requirements on social compliance and sustainability

·       Coach and train merchandising teams on matters of quality, social compliance and sustainability

·       Help manage relationships with suppliers

·       Develop and implement quality control procedures


·       Bachelor's degree in fashion design, textile engineering, or related field

·       At least 5 years of experience in quality and compliance management in the garment industry

·       Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and quality control procedures

·       Experience in social compliance and sustainability management

·       Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

·       Excellent spoken English preferred

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

·       Ability to travel on a weekly basis
