Business Development Manager
INTRODUCTION / JOB SUMMARY
This role will need you to be a strategic, bilingual business development leader with specialized industry
knowledge to develop and improve the commercial results for Brunel China.
You are responsible for driving growth, managing key client relationships and leveraging a strong
understanding of the recruitment landscape in Shipbuilding, Engineering & Construction, Oil & Gas, and
Renewable Energy sectors
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the execution of business development strategies to acquire new clients and expand
market presence in the Shipbuilding, Engineering & Construction, Oil & Gas, and Renewable
Energy industries
- Build, maintain, and strengthen longterm relationships with key accounts
- Proven track record of success in sales/business development roles
- Track and report on KPIs, revenue forecasts, and overall business development performance
- Analyse market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to identify and capitalize on
growth opportunities
- Negotiate terms, fees, and contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies
- Collaborate closely with recruitment teams to align business development with operational
delivery
- Mentor and support junior business development staff to foster skill development and improve
team performance
- Able to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex challenges
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field
- 5+ years of proven success in business development or sales within the specified industrial
sectors
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation skills in both English and Chinese (written and verbal).
Additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
