CFL is currently seeking candidates to join our rapidly expanding team. We seek to hire a Business Development Manager (BDM) to report to the Sales Director ROW – REST-OF-THE-WORLD. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our multi-national Sales and Business Development team. The position has a strong connection to various other departments and teams, thus excellent communication skills are required. As the BDM, you will take ownership of CFL sales activities in a part of the ROW region and ensure CFL will grow our distribution and sales.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Business growth
- Take responsibility for developing the best-in-class distribution network across your territory to ensure CFL is well-positioned to grow our business across relevant segments with relevant products.
- Ensure CFL is well known and established across the territory with stakeholders such as importers, distributors, designers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Set and execute the overall strategy for the territory.
- Customer's Relationship
- Liaise with customers to understand their needs and make appropriate recommendations by providing the latest updates on new or existing products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Represent CFL and put yourself in the customer's shoes, handle issues in the best interest of both the customer and the company.
- Handle customers' requests and inquiries regarding new products and projects (Irregular product line)
- Provide Sales Training on product knowledge and sales features to the customer when necessary.
- Prepare and send Company/Product presentations/Product proposals tailored to each customer.
- Develop corporate relationships with customers by means of consultation, follow-up, preparing proposals, service and terms (payment, MOQ, warranty etc.), agreement negotiations, and quotations.
- Manage each customer's portfolio (Product Range Management), update and maintain CRM (refer to Standard SKU lists, loading database, data on the server). Same for serious leads with positive perspectives.
- Negotiate quotations with the customer and update them in CRM (refer to standard price prices + possible negotiated discount)
- Financial follow-up of each account, credit insurance, and payment follow-up.
- Conduct market research by means of communication with the customer and market stakeholders.
- Organize customers' visits to the factory, hold meetings, prepare the showrooms and write Meeting Summaries and Action Plans.
- Coordinate with Customer Service the samples required to develop existing customer and prospect accounts.
- Promote the sales of Stock.
- Participate in Exhibitions representing CFL.
- Brand Management (Marketing)
- Increase CFL brand awareness (FirmFit, NovoCore, Audacity, Neptune, …) by means of marketing support to branded distributors.
- Increase OEM brand awareness by means of marketing support to OEM clients
- Communicate with Marketing dept. to ensure marketing materials are up-to-date and on the server
- Provide technical product information upon customer's request OK
- Customer Service Management (Internal)
- Oversee and supervise Customer Service team communications with customers of the assigned region.
- Monitor and ensure accurate pricing, service, and orders to customers.
- Handle incidents, find solutions, and troubleshoot problems (mistakes, delays, big quality issues)
- Work closely with Product Development to ensure all product information is correct, complete and ready-to-use for the Customer Service team and properly input in CRM files.
- Samples Management ' provide exact, correct information to the Customer Service team (specs, qty, due date, address) to prepare the samples requested/offered to customers.
- The list is non-exclusive of any other activity not listed but related to the main purpose of the position: sales and market development.

Required Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills (Speaking, reading, writing), attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Native English preferably + Chinese is a benefit.
- Service-oriented, following through on commitments and promises.
- Flooring experience is a plus.
- Good negotiation skills and commercial abilities.
- Open character used to cold door calls.
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization and build strong relationships
- Exercises influence at many levels with internal and external customers
- Can identify alternative solutions when necessary
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor or Master
- 3+ years of Sales Management/Account Management experience (ideally manufacturing company in the Flooring/Building Materials industry)
- Good analytical skills & ability to work under pressure;
- Dependable, reliable, and hardworking.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
