What you will be doing

Implement procurement for Industrial Projects

  • Lead capex project purchasing to conduct all purchasing/commercial related things, incl. but not limited to below:
  • Project purchasing strategy definition
  • Propose and develop Bidder List for approval
  • Conduct new vendor development and pre-qualification
  • PO/Contract negotiation
  • Monitor Supplier/Contractor performance during project execution
  • Create PO at SAP and work with team for expediting
  • Jointly work with Engineering team, EPCm contractor and other internal/external stakeholder during project execution
  • Maintain Supplier Relation
  • Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and Assessment
  • Support Payment proceeding
  • Solve the problem related project purchasing
  • Ensure that clients’ needs are reflected in the category strategy
  • Establish spend baselines and category profile, inclusive risk assessment, supplier relationship management and procure to pay strategy
  • Prepare and lead agreement negotiations in cross functional teams
  • Execute and monitor the added value initiatives as originating from the category strategy
  • Ensure alignment with global business strategies, overall procurement strategy and the projected added value plan
  • Manage local capex purchasing team whom reports to him/her

 

Global Category Purchasing Management

  • Take a strategic and long term view in identifying and developing innovative sources and contractual arrangements, and establish the targets in alignment with global Capex team and internal Clients
  • Join force with P&T category team and/or internal client for local sourcing and project execution
  • Participate in regular or irregular meeting/workshop/discussion to maintain global capex category work as regional representative
  • Work with project team for purchasing strategy development

 

Share sourcing trends, best practices and results and organize knowledge distribution

Drive optimisation of user compliance, supplier performance, contracts and customer satisfaction for the Industrial Projects related procurement

Define, consolidate and execute improvement plans and ensure stakeholder alignment

Work and support P&T China/APAC strategy in related work incl. Opex, PTX and T&TC function

 

Who we are looking for

Functional Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree (engineering/electrical/civil, …) or equivalent by experience
  • Substantial professional experience in Chemical/Metallurgy industrial projects procurement in WOFE (> 10 years)
  • Good communication/presentation skill
  • Excellent English is an absolute necessity
  • Frequent Travel is necessary (2-3 times per month)
  • Shor or Long term allocation is possible
  • SAP SRM/Ariba application
