Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Director to lead our brand’s operations on JD.com, one of China’s premier e-commerce platforms, within the apparel industry. The ideal candidate will drive strategic growth, optimize channel performance, and manage end-to-end operations to enhance brand visibility, sales, and customer loyalty. This role requires deep expertise in JD.com’s ecosystem, apparel retail trends, and data-driven strategy development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive JD.com channel strategy aligned with brand objectives, focusing on sales growth, market share expansion, and profitability.
    • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities on JD.com to identify opportunities for product assortment, pricing, and marketing campaigns.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (merchandising, marketing, supply chain) to ensure seamless execution of seasonal campaigns, promotions (e.g., 618, Double 11), and new product launches.
  2. Channel Management & Optimization
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of JD.com stores (自营店 / POP 店铺), including store setup, product listing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
    • Manage JD.com-specific marketing tools (e.g., JD Express, Brand 聚效,search advertising) to drive traffic and conversion, optimizing ROI through data analysis.
    • Coordinate with JD.com account managers to secure prime placement, participate in platform initiatives, and enhance brand exposure (e.g., homepage features, category pages).
  3. Product & Category Strategy
    • Define product assortment and pricing strategies for JD.com, leveraging consumer insights to prioritize bestsellers, exclusive items, and seasonal collections.
    • Collaborate with the product development team to tailor offerings for JD.com’s user base, ensuring alignment with fashion trends and quality standards.
    • Monitor product performance metrics (sales velocity, inventory turnover, return rates) and adjust strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  4. Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
    • Use JD.com’s analytics tools (e.g., 商智) to monitor key metrics (GMV, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value) and generate actionable insights.
    • Prepare regular reports on channel performance, identifying areas for improvement and presenting recommendations to senior management.
    • Leverage data to optimize user experience, including store design, product 详情页,and checkout flows.
  5. Team Leadership & Collaboration
    • Manage and mentor a team of e-commerce specialists (operations, marketing, customer service) to achieve performance targets.
    • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure efficient inventory management, logistics coordination, and order fulfillment (including JD’s warehousing and delivery networks).
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to integrate JD.com campaigns with broader brand initiatives (social media, offline events, KOL partnerships).
  6. Partnership & Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with JD.com’s account management, marketing, and category teams to secure resources and support.
    • Collaborate with third-party service providers (TP 服务商) for operational excellence, ensuring compliance with JD.com’s policies and standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce management, with at least 3 years specializing in JD.com operations within the apparel/fashion industry.
    • Proven track record of driving GMV growth, managing complex campaigns, and optimizing channel performance on JD.com.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in JD.com’s backend systems (商家后台), marketing tools, and data analytics platforms.
    • Knowledge of apparel industry dynamics, including seasonal trends, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
    • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, both in Chinese and English.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
