This role sits within the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the MD APAC. You will work in close collaboration with the CEO and other top-tier executives to shape the conceptual and strategic direction of the business. Because this position oversees a primary legal entity or division, it offers the scale and visibility of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) role.
About the job:
- As the Divisional President/General Manager, you will be responsible for the full administrative, financial, and sales performance of your assigned operating unit. Key duties include:
- Strategic Leadership: Establishing the operating unit's strategic statements and culture of excellence in alignment with the Global Vision.
- Business Planning: Developing and implementing comprehensive three-year business plans, including detailed annual operating plans and budgets.
- Operational Management: Directing day-to-day operations to ensure effective customer experiences, business growth, and operational efficiency.
- Organizational Growth: Managing the development of personnel, product technology, equipment, and market resources to facilitate future expansion.
- Performance Oversight: Ensuring 100% on-time performance reviews and corrective action responses to maintain high standards of employee relations and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Providing transparent communication through monthly reports to the CEO and quarterly reports to the Board of Directors.
Skills and experience required:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor of Science in Business and/or Engineering is required; an MBA is preferred.
- Senior Leadership: Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing company.
- Industry Expertise: At least 10+ years of business management responsibility within a similar market or industry.
- Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and control operating units, specifically in creating and executing multi-year business and budget plans.
- Analytical Aptitude: Ability to meet specific cognitive and mechanical benchmarks.
- Management Style: Must demonstrate the "Characteristics of a Successful Manager" and a commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
