About Rechargeable Battery Materials

We are all on the move. Umicore’s rechargeable battery materials give people autonomy and connectivity. We are a pioneer in battery materials that give added range and performance to electric vehicles. Our materials also ensure longer battery life for portable electronics. To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing

• Prepare management accounting functions including month-end/ year-end close, rolling forecast, annual budget and planning process
• Monitor performance indicators, including but not limited to margin analysis, highlight trends and analyze the causes of unexpected variance
• Assist in month-end closing
• Participate in projects for system enhancement / implementation
• Assist in annual audit/tax filing
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor degree in Finance / Accounting, Finalist or Professional member of recognized accounting bodies is an advantage
• At least 2-3 years with accounting experiences and SAP knowledge would be an advantage
• Attentive to details, strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good communication skill
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge in PowerBI is a plus
• Good spoken and written English as well as Cantonese and Putonghua
• Team player, works well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Independent, Pro-active
• Hardworking, self-initiated, responsible and organized person
