Action Hong Kong is responsible for the Direct Import activities of Action in Asia. The department

operates as a HUB for the International Head Quarters in The Netherlands and acts in the interest of all internal stakeholders involved in directly importing goods into the European Union.

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our Hong Kong team!

Summary of the Job description

The Sourcing Specialist is involved in every Supply Chain aspect and responsible for improving and optimizing the Sourcing activities of Action in Asia. By being present in Asia the Sourcing Specialist needs to realize additional growth in number of items and FOB volume sourced via Direct Import. The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Sourcing Manager and work closely with our Buying teams in the IHQ in The Netherlands and our Sourcing Partner in Asia, Li&Fung. The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing new opportunities (countries, suppliers, factories, items) and improving the quality of the existing supplier and factory base.

Requirements – Hard skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related disciplines

• Minimum 3 years working experience in Buying or Sourcing

• English, Reporting

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

• Experience in the retail branch and an international environment is preferable

• Is willing to travel extensively to different work locations depending on requirements
