20 Year Anniversary Gala - Recap

The 20 Year Annivesary Gala of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce that took place last Saturday at the Indigo Jing'An Hotel was an amazing evening!

We started with a VIP reception for our honory guests and the guests of our Silver Partners Gonvvama, UCB and Barry Callebaut and our Award Partner KBC. 

After the VIP reception, the other guests joined and enjoyed the cocktail reception sponsored by Da Wo Law Firm with wine kindly provided by the Luxembourg Consulate General, cheese provided by Grand'Or and vegan snacks provided by Haofood. 

After the reception, everybody entered the ballroom and was welcomed by Mattie Bekink, our Master of Ceremony. Our Chairman Karel Eloot showed us the highlights of the 20 years of the Benelux Chamber. Philippe Snel received the KBC 'Personality of the 20 Years' Award from PC Leung.

Jimmy and Hanson from the Renewal Center joined us on stage to talk about their work and they received a cheque from nearly RMB 80k from the Belgium Embassy, the Consulate General in Shanghai and the Belgian business community. During the evening, students from Lycee Francais de Shanghai sold tickets for our Lucky Draw, which raised another RMB 25 900. Thank you to our Lucky Draw sponsors: Design2Gather, Douwe Egberts, Silk Mandarin, Pierre Marcolini, JC Gemesis, Geneva Restaurant and Bites & Bottle-O.

After the official part of the evening, it was time to enjoy the dessert buffet with chocolate provided by Barry Callebaut and some beers at the Budweiser beer cafe and also some Duvels provided by Duvel Moortgat.

We also want to thank Kate's Band and DJ Yu Yang for the entertainment during the evening.
