Last weekend, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai represented Belgium at the 25th Jiangsu Agricultural International Cooperation Fair (Jiangsu AgriExpo 2026), building, managing and designing the Belgium National Pavilion, engaging with visitors, and facilitating connections between our members and partners from across China and abroad.

Held from 24–26 April at the Suzhou International Expo Center, the fair brought together participants from 33 countries and regions, with more than 400 companies and organizations showcasing close to 3,000 products and solutions. Spanning 13,000 square meters across dedicated zones for international cooperation, modern agricultural achievements, and frontier agri-tech, exhibits ranged from premium food products to smart farming technologies. Beyond the exhibition floor, the program included policy launches, business matchmaking sessions, innovation roadshows, and trade promotion events designed to connect industry, government, research institutions, and international partners.

A highlight of the Chamber's participation was welcoming Mr. Pascal Buffin, Consul General of the Kingdom of Belgium in Shanghai, to the Belgium booth. His visit was an opportunity to discuss the landscape for Belgian businesses in China's agriculture, food, and innovation sectors, and underscored the importance of institutional presence at events of this scale.

As a trusted bridge between Benelux companies and the Chinese market, the Benelux Chamber remains committed to supporting its members through strategic platforms like Jiangsu AgriExpo, helping companies gain visibility, build networks, and explore new market opportunities in China. This was a fully complimentary add-on to our members.

We thank the organizers for an excellent event and look forward to future editions!
