Benelux Chamber of Commerce Delegation Explores Economic Opportunities in Gaochun

On January 10th, a delegation from the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai visited Gaochun District to strengthen connections and explore avenues for economic cooperation. Organized by Yangjiang Town, the visit aimed to foster trust between Belgian enterprises and the local government while promoting mutual economic growth.

The delegation included Frédéric Van Kerrebroeck, Deputy Head of Mission of Consul for Economic Affairs of the Belgian Consulate General in Shanghai, as well as representatives from member companies such as Melexis, KBC, DBSP, Wise Wings, MSA, and Intermax Logistics. Representing the Benelux Chamber of Commerce were Lu Jian, Jonathan Xu, and Kim Steen. Local officials, including District Mayor Li Bei; Executive Deputy District Mayor Hu Xueyi and Party Secretary Dai Wei, warmly welcomed the group.

 

During the visit, the delegation toured Belgian companies operating in Gaochun, including Jati & Kebon and Vandewiele Textile Machinery, where they learned about production processes, technological developments, and market strategies. The visit provided insights into the local focus on intelligent manufacturing and the home products industry.

The visit concluded with a stop at Gaochun Old District, where delegates experienced the cultural and historical richness of the area. Discussions throughout the visit focused on industrial development and collaboration opportunities, with delegates highlighting Gaochun's favorable business environment and expressing optimism about establishing deeper partnerships. This visit underscored Gaochun’s dedication to fostering international cooperation and advancing economic development.
