Benelux Chamber’s Official Dragon Boat Race Team !

The Benelux Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that our official team, made up entirely of interns from our Intern2China program, will be competing in the 2025 International Dragon Boat Race! This exciting event will take place from May 24 to 25 along the scenic Suzhou River at Zhongyuan Liangwancheng and Mengqingyuan in Shanghai’s Putuo District.

Now celebrating its 20th edition, the Dragon Boat Invitational is more than just a race – it’s a vibrant celebration of athleticism, tradition, and urban renewal. Since its launch in 2001 as part of the Suzhou River cleanup project, the event has become a beloved fixture in Shanghai’s cultural calendar. This year’s edition is organized in collaboration with the Shanghai Sports Federation and the People’s Government of Putuo District.

Representing the Benelux Chamber is Team Intern2China – Benelux Spirit on the Water: a crew of dynamic interns from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, currently placed across China through our own Intern2China initiative. While they’re not professional paddlers, they bring energy, teamwork, and the true spirit of international exchange – making this event a unique platform for cultural connection and meaningful experience.

We invite all members, partners, and friends of the Chamber to join us on the riverbanks and cheer on our team! And of course, we’ll be hosting a Benelux riverside stand, offering refreshing beers, tasty snacks, and great vibes for all visitors and supporters.
