Christkindlmarkt on the Bund 2025 Featuring Belgian Beers and Snacks!

Author: Shanghai BenCham

Christkindlmarkt on the Bund returns in 2025, bringing back one of Shanghai’s most loved winter traditions. From 26 November to 28 December, the Bund will once again turn into a cosy German-style Christmas market, complete with twinkling lights, mulled wine, festive music, and more than 45 wooden stalls offering food, drinks, and handmade gifts.

Expect everything from German sausages, raclette, pancakes, and roasted almonds to warm seasonal drinks like Glühwein, cider, eggnog, and hot chocolate. Among the many international stalls this year, visitors will also come across a touch of Belgium, including a Kasteel beer booth, a Belgian chocolate stall, and a Belgian fries stand adding their own flavours to the festive mix. Families can meet Santa and his elves every weekend, and this year’s limited-edition Christkindlmarkt Gift Box adds an extra seasonal highlight.

The market will be open Wednesday to Sunday, with free entry for children under 1.3m. Tickets must be purchased and presented through the SmartShanghai Mini Program.
