Exploring China’s Innovation: Nexxworks’ Executive Tour

The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China was proud to co-organize China’s Next Miracle Tour, an ambitious initiative led by our member nexxworks, which brought together over 35 C-level executives from Belgium for an immersive journey through China’s most forward-thinking companies.

As co-organizers on the ground, we coordinated an intensive program of company visits and expert exchanges aimed at deepening understanding of the innovation landscape in China. The delegation gained direct access to some of the country's most influential players, including:

• Buy Quickly (上海百秋) – a powerhouse in cross-border e-commerce & livestreaming,

• Trip.com Group – one of the world’s largest online travel services,

• BrainCo Inc – a pioneer in neurotechnology and AI,

• Alibaba Group – a global leader in digital commerce and cloud computing,

• Unitree Robotics – a fast-growing robotics startup pushing boundaries in AI and automation,

• and Xiaohongshu (RED) – a trendsetting lifestyle and social commerce platform.

Each visit offered a unique perspective on how Chinese companies are shaping global markets through relentless innovation and digital transformation.

To further contextualize the Chinese market, we invited local experts and Chamber board members Karel Eloot, Philippe Snel, and David Xu for an insightful panel discussion at The Belgian House Shanghai. The conversation covered key trends, regulatory dynamics, and practical insights into doing business in China which sparked a rich dialogue with the visiting executives.

This delegation reflects a growing interest among business leaders in understanding China not just as a manufacturing hub, but as a driving force of future business models and technologies. It was a pleasure to support nexxworks in realizing this bold initiative, and we remain committed to facilitating these types of exchanges that build bridges between Benelux and China.
