At the Heart of Europe–China Trade
You probably know that the Port of Rotterdam is the largest seaport in Europe. What is less widely known, however, is the scale of its connection with China. In 2024 alone, imports from China into the Netherlands amounted to USD 53.17 billion, accounting for 8.6% of total Dutch imports. This highlights the Port of Rotterdam’s strategic importance for Chinese, Dutch, and wider Benelux businesses.
Against this backdrop, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce was pleased to be represented by its Commercial Director, Kim Steen, during a recent meeting with Junshan Zou and Jenny Tu from the Port of Rotterdam in China.
As long-time Chamber members and active leaders within our Logistics Industry Practice Group (IPG), we had an open and engaging discussion on the evolving logistics landscape and the future direction of the IPG. In short: how can we support our members active in the logistics industry.
Exciting developments are in the making. Stay tuned!
