"Hello, my name is Ditte and I am excited to start my new position at the Chamber with a focus on Business Development! I have a background in International Relations (BA) and International Business & Management (MSc), with a specialization in sustainability. Currently, I am also a student at Fudan University in International Business (MSc) with a major in Chinese Economy.

With my passion for China in the international arena and my interest in the EU-China relationship, I am excited to start my new position at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Within the Chamber, I will be focussing on Business Development. The business opportunities between the Benelux and China are abundant and still growing. Even in today’s post-Covid world, industries like technology, pharmaceuticals, and sustainable energy present promising opportunities. With my background in sustainability, I encourage innovation and green technologies at the forefront. The Belt and Road Initiative infrastructure projects also provide new opportunities in terms of enhancing connectivity and trade between China and the Benelux. I am looking forward to gaining new experiences, developing my knowledge and exploring the beautiful city of Shanghai!"

"Hello, everyone! I'm Esmee, and I am from the Netherlands. Currently, I'm pursuing an MSc in International Business with a major in the Chinese Economy at Fudan University in Shanghai. Prior to this, I completed an MSc in International Business and an MSc in Marketing Management at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. I am very excited to start my traineeship at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and to gain valuable experience in a cross-border business environment.

Having grown up in an entrepreneurial family with a blend of Chinese and Dutch values, I'm deeply intrigued by the intricacies of conducting business in China. During this traineeship, I am eager to learn more about the Benelux-China dynamics and to aid in strengthening the ties between the two regions. I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to expand my knowledge, enhance my personal development, and connect with people from different backgrounds. I'm truly excited to explore what Shanghai has to offer, and I'm looking forward to meeting you soon!"
