Revolutionizing Horticulture

The 25th Hortiflorexpo was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong from April 13 to 15, 2023. Hortiflorexpo has been the largest and most authoritative international trade show in industry of floriculture, horticulture and gardening in China. It alternates between Shanghai and Beijing every year and is organized by the China Flower Association.

This year, the Dutch PIB China, NL Protected Agri Alliance China, Dutch Greenhouse Delta (DGD), Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China, and Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai collaborated to cluster a joint booth. Companies such as BASF, Bayer de Ruiter, BOAL Group, Grodan, HX Agriculture, Imagro, Inholland, Kenlog, KUBO, KuiperCompagnons, Lans Groep, Lentiz, Ridder, Svensson, and Viscon participated in the expo to showcase Dutch technology and know-how through a series of activities. Their goal was to position the Dutch greenhouse horticulture sector in China as the ideal partner for achieving sustainable and safe food production.

On the morning of April 14, the GM of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce East China | Shanghai, Mr. Ian Bennink, and the Deputy GM, Ms. Jian Lu, accompanied by Mr. Michael Min 闵伟峰, the Business Advisor of DGD in China, visited the joint booth and spoke with key market players. They discussed the latest technologies of the companies, their business status in China, and market needs. The Benelux Chamber expressed its willingness to provide any kind of support that the companies from the Benelux community might need.
