Volvo China Open 2026 Set to Tee Off in Shanghai

Spring is here in China, and with the arrival of warmer weather, many will be looking for opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. One event well worth noting is the upcoming Volvo China Open, taking place from April 23 to 26 at Shanghai's Enhance Anting Golf Club. Now in its 31st year, the US$2.75 million national championship, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the China Tour, features a top field of domestic and international players. As the fourth stop in the tour’s Asian Swing, the Volvo China Open will be a pivotal battleground in determining who will claim one of the three coveted spots for the second major of the year, the PGA Championship. With so much on the line, in addition to a US$467,500 winner's purse, the golf action is set to be intense at Enhance Anting, a spectacular Robert Trent Jones II designed course created for championship golf.

Among the players confirmed for the tournament are defending champion Wu Ashun, rising young Chinese stars Ding Wenyi and Zhou Yanhan, and more than 20 winners of DP World Tour events from the past two seasons.

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a premier showcase of Volvo Cars’ latest lineup alongside a curated collection of iconic heritage models.
