What do you hope to gain from the student ambassadorship at the Chamber?
"During this exchange year as a student ambassador representing Belgium at BenCham, I am enthusiastic about being a bridge between the student community in Shanghai and the Chamber, encouraging participation in events and building meaningful connections."
An De Rademaeker, a 21-year-old Belgian student, is pursuing a Master’s in Chinese Studies with a Minor in Economic Policy and Management at KU Leuven. Currently, she's on a year-long exchange at Fudan University to deepen her understanding of Chinese culture and language. With a Bachelor’s degree in the same field and a mixed Belgian-Chinese background, she is passionate about economic dynamics and international relations.
What do you hope to gain from the student ambassadorship at the Chamber?
"As a student ambassador, I aim to strengthen ties between Benelux companies, Chinese organizations, and the Dutch student community in Shanghai by fostering networking and sharing business insights, while gaining experience in intercultural communication and especially understanding trade dynamics in China."
Marnix van Oort is from the Netherlands, 26 years old, and is currently doing a Master exchange semester at Tongji University. He holds a BSc International Business from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, went on exchange to Beijing University of Technology, and completed a MSc Economics and Strategy in Emerging Markets at Maastricht University. His work experience includes sales within B2B environments.
