Welcome to our New Trainee Tjan Ho Lai!

Greetings!

My name is Tjan and I am from Amsterdam with roots from Hong Kong and China. I am delighted to announce that I will start my professional career as a Junior Business Development Manager Trainee at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. My background is a MSc in Finance focused on Asset Management, a BSc in Economics & Business from the University of Amsterdam, a global exchange to the University of Hong Kong and a summer school at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

I also operated a freelance business in the hospitality & event management industry next to my studies. After graduating, I traveled three months across China to visit my family, explored the vast country and its nature and observed the fast-paced technological developments of Chinese society. As a result, I was convinced that Shanghai is the place to be. Furthermore, I will contribute more value to the Benelux-China trade and economic relations with my diverse experience, knowledge and skill set. During this period, I aim to gain more insights about the cross-border business environment, customer relationship management and organization of networking events.

Therefore, I look forward to the fruitful and rewarding collaboration on the projects within the team, but also to meet and connect with you, fellow members of the community.
